Letterpress

Letterpress printing is a wet ink, relief printing process. Type or art is made into a mold or die, ink is applied, and pressed on to the surface of the paper. The results are a rich, tactile image, which often leaves a slight impression or indentation on the printed surface.

This process is often requested by graphics designers for printing invitations, and announcements, as well as notecards, business cards, letterhead and specialty items.

Our letterpress department, assists in design and art, sets type from our font collection, or utilizes computer output. We have unique equipment which allows us to print on a variety of surfaces and sizes. With this equipment, we also foil stamp, die cut, perforate, score and emboss.
